Student Exploration of Academic Medicine
About us: Student club focused on pursuing intersection of medicine and academic research.We provide academic discussions, distinguished guest speakers, pre-med workshops, and mentorship, further discussed below.
What we offer
Academic Discussion
Refer to the academic discussion plot. Here students can have an open page to discuss current events and research in biology in a collaborative environment
Community
Network with peers who share similar goals.
Guest Speakers
We provide monthly guest lectures from professors, doctors, and medical students discussing a wide variety of topics in the medical/academic field
Pre-med workshops
Members can participate in peer-guided workshops in order to gain hands-on experience at an undergraduate level
Mentorship
We provide a mentorship system where members can gain guidance from upperclassmen.
Mini-Conferences
Members have the opportunity to present and discuss their work to an audience, gaining practice in public speaking
